Production x Macbeth

Production x Ual students
This will be our very first performance with production plan. For this performance we where able to link class with the level 3 production student to prioritise how our performance will be staged. I really enjoy this sector of the course because it almost feels like a paid play but on tour. The costumes make-up, hair and ACTION.

What is the production part a performance?
Producing theatres have creative teams which develop new productions from existing or new works. This includes directors, musical directors and choreographers, as well as designers of sets, props, costume, lighting and audio-visual media. This team manages technical aspects of a show covering sound, lighting and AV. This including the safe and effective use of equipment such as lights, projectors, speakers and microphones.(check mic 1,2,3).So thanks to the level 3 production students we will be able to do all theses thing for our Macbeth performances.

So whats the plan ?
The plan was to nominate a leader for each section of production to talk to the stage management.
-Design: Whole Black group decision
-Music:Troy
To help us in terms of inspiration our substitute teacher Shenagh gave us helpful sites to research on. Such as Digital theatre streams the best theatre productions from around the world anytime, anywhere.

ce authentically onscreen. Using multiple camera angles and high-definition technology, we bring the drama and emotion of each production to a global online audience. Importantly unlimited access to all our current and future productions are on this site. Our characters also gave us a lot of inspiration in terms of props and staging for example playing one of the witches the production will have to give us a lot of dark colours and dark suspenseful music.

In the other hand we also went into depth on the props needed of each scene and character to us that will try in the story.

Sticking with our Traditional themed costumes for all the women roles we decides to wear dress. Butall th ecostumes that where provided for us from the college was specific to  our roles, this kind of set us back a bit but that meant that we would have to go the extra mile when it comes to our characters over powering the costume malfunctions. For example for me most of the dresses wouldn't fit and keeping in mind I had multi roles and I was not fitting in anything at all.
But intested I did what a do the best and improvised big time. The whole concept was to make our characters  noticeable to the audiences and how we stay true to our roles just as if we where using a Stanslevki method. As dedicated black group is we brought in some of our own add-ons to our Macbeth costumes for example capes etc.

In terms of lighting and sound effects we had an amazing group of level 3 production team to help us entwine our atmosphere with our scenes. In my opinion I feel as if that this section of production is important and especially knowing that Macbeth is a really long play and the audience can loses focus the lighting can bring a sense of interests and for sound effects The most common use of sound effects in plays would be for large noises important to the script. In this instance the sound has the same exact same use as a spoken line. Such as a crash or explosion, a horn honk, a doorbell - something where the noise is called for in the script and changes or prompts an actor's line or action  it can. For our instance in the witches scenes they needed to sound and feel like pour and utter evil and fear, so we added thunder and lightening with complimentary flashing lights. Then for the fight scenes we had a blue and red lights wash in the back with dramatic traditional battle music so that both sound and lights create a mood for our audience.

-For more insights to the lighting enclose the production makings on our parts of our script and the end result.
