Medea Blogs Medea x Ual Acting  As well as being introduced to Greek tragedy Oedipus we were introduced to a play called Meada. Meada is centered on a wife's calculated desire for revenge against her unfaithful husband.S he finds her position in the Greek world threatened as Jason leaves her for a Greek princess of Corinth . Medea takes vengeance on Jason her husband by murdering Jason's new wife as well as her own children, after which she escapes to Athens   to start a new life. d as a nuanced and sympathetic portrayal of Medea's struggle to take charge of her own life in a male-dominated world. This week my team and I realized that we were missing some important emotion in our  pieces. For instance when Jocasta and Oedipus are on good terms and happy they have the  look of love and joy in there eyes. Papa Tango Blogs  September was great start to the academic year.in the course of this months events such as assessment week ,writing blogs and having great opp seeing as we had the opportunity to work with the unmistakable Papa Tango company all thanks to our amazing head of performing arts. What is papa tango? Week 5 Recap The following week was pressure week 24hr rehearsal and script writing Session   This week is turn in everything final assessment week for our Greek theatre pieces. We started off with rehearsals with our groups,mapping out scenes and steps. Week 4 Recap week 3 was a very busy week just as the rest . A lot of rehearsals decision making on the Papa tango scripts deciding a great ending. Greek theatre piece rehearsals struggling to under play my characters and also finding a hidden meaning with my character. Session This week sessions were mainly based mainly based around o ur Greek theatre piece rehearsed without the script adding in and extra actions that will be necessary near the play. this week will also be our last feedback lesson on our acting critique for the final assessment. Week 3 Re-cap Week 2 was a very action packed week with Blandine and learning fresh new scripts for the month. we also looked into depth about Greek theatre tragedies and the difference between Modern Theatre.( If not seen Oedipus,Meada and Papa tango blog sessions please visit the individual blogs) Sessions   This week we were able to start our Papa Tango script characters with our teacher Sharron. Re-cap In the course of the first week running we had gotten to introduce ourselves and elaborate the skills of actually being true actor. Week 2(Birthday week) In the beginning of this week we went back in time of acting,drama and theater.Which was a very long time ago all the way back in 5th century 400bc-500bc. Greek Theatre Greek tragedies and comedies were always preformed in outdoor theaters. Early Greek theaters were probably little more than open areas in city centers or next to hillsides where the audience,standing or sitting,could watch and listen to the chorus singing about the exploits of a god or hero.From the late 6th century BC to the 4th and 3rd centuries BC there was a gradual evolution towards more elaborate theater structures,but the basics layout of the Greek theater remained the same.
